Katrina Kaif has stepped out in London, and her latest look makes a strong case for giving everyday winter dressing a fresh spin. The actor was in the city on October 8 to celebrate one year of Kay Beauty’s UK launch with luxury beauty retailer Space NK. For the occasion, stylist Rhea Kapoor put together an earthy brown look from Swedish luxury label Toteme, with one piece in particular catching the eye. It was a brown skirt with a dhoti-inspired silhouette, a refreshing change from the usual tailored trousers and straight-cut skirts we see in winter wardrobes. The fabric gathers and falls into soft, voluminous folds towards the hem, giving the piece a fluid shape without losing its polished appeal.
Katrina wore it with a dark brown, single-breasted flannel blazer featuring a detachable scarf, layered over a slip top. The mix of clean tailoring and relaxed draping kept the outfit from looking too formal. And the tonal brown palette brought the pieces together without making the ensemble feel predictable.
